So along with the lift-all conversion on my F-20, I wanted to add an overdrive so that I could get to around 15 MPH in road gear to be able to get to events quicker and do high speed tractor drives. I already have the factory road gear in the tranmission that will do around 10 MPH. The advice I got was I should get the Hiesler two-speed gearbox as that would give two speeds in each gear, and would fit along with the lift-all pump. So I found one at a price I could afford and drove three hours each way to get it. Got it home and it won't fit, there's no way it will coexist with the lift-all pump as the lift-all comes up each side of the clutch output yoke.
So, if I want an overdrive, it looks like it will have to be the Behlen that bypasses the transmission and direct drives the output shaft. So before I go to that trouble, who can tell me how fast the Behlen box will make the tractor go with 36" tires? I already have the stock road gear which goes around 10 MPH. If the Behlen will only go 10MPH then there's no point in getting one as that's no improvement over what I already have. So who has one that can tell me for sure how fast it will go?
Thanks, Brian
