Farmall Cub bursting hydroliac line

The overly obvious answer is that it happens to be the weakest link.

I'm not sure if there's a relief valve that's stuck/inop or there isn't enough strength at the joint right there.

When you say "keep bursting" it seems like its happened multiple times. What did you do to address this in the past, braze/weld, get a new part, or get a used part?

Vibration can focus at the flange (stress riser) and cause the steel to fatigue and fail. I would probably take the flange to a machine shop and have a hose fitting brazed on to it. A second fitting a foot away on the pipe (cutting out the steel line for that distance) would allow a hydraulic hose to be used between them. The hose will absorb the vibrations. Jim

I read the service book on CUBs a long time ago. Now that being said, 5here is an oil filter and a pressure regulator spring and ball that is in the power unit itself. That tiny little panel " dash board " needs to be removed to get at the back of the power lift unit. Go on Ebay and buy the service manual. As the others have said you can have metal fatigue problems or you have a pressure problem too. Just my opinion. Juat have never seen a CUB do that ,so you may have another problem.
