Several Years ago I bought a 12V conversion kit for a SH.
Now I can't remember the business name. Charlie was my contact.
The kit had bracket and a Hitachi alternator I believe.
I need to convert a 300 for a friend.
Can someone lead me to the right direction please?

Try Agriservices at the link below. Or call 716-937-6618 and ask for Jim.

They catalog the alternator and brackets you are looking for.

No commercial 'kit' is needed. Use a standard($55,63amp) one wire Delco alternator.you can oftenjust turn over the existing braket,or slightly modify. I like to completely strip/ remove the old harness. Easy. Simply run one wire from 'hot' term of alt, through the amp gauge, back to battery/starter.Then pull ignition from amp gauge. other accessorys from there too. Done.I have done 5 such conversions. Four of my own(SH;M;Sm;Oliver 60),plus one for a neighbor. I am presently(today as we speak) converting a recently purched 400.And prepareing to do a 4020 for another neighbor.True, it's not 'factory correct',but who cares? It works. However,if you must have a 'kit' YT sells em. Call me if you have questions.(970)417-1178

I was taught this system by an 'old' rebuilder. He was good. Till he went 'wacko' from some weird, way out 'religion' of his own design.

I will agree with delta red. I converted my 300 Farmall years
ago. Used a gm alternator and if I remember right even used my
stock bracket. Have had no issues so far, and everything fit
nice under the sheet metal.
