Farmall Super MTA hydraulic clicking

Doing some test runs with the SMTA, progress thus far has been a new alternator, new wiring harness and cleaned a ton of gunk out of the fuel tank and rest of the fuel system.

I notice when I idle the tractor maybe 3 notches up from low I am getting a fast clicking from the reservoir block under the fuel tank. This is heard over the engine/exhaust noise. The live hyd pump is silent though.

I am guessing I could be low on fluid but I'm currently not sure how to check level? On the left side there's a breather port and an upturned pipe elbow with a pipe plug in it. I am guessing the latter is where I would put in new fluid (Hytran?). Sorry I don't have a current picture. The operator pull rod for the hyd block is pushed all the way in.

Thanks for your help!

Can't help you on the clicking. No idea what it could possibly be because the only moving parts in the hydraulic reservoir are part of the valve, and that only moves when you move the lever.

The fill pipe goes into the side of the reservoir. It's probably the one with the breather on it (if it looks like a little chef's hat, that's the breather/fill).

Fill level is to being seen in the 3/4 pipe 45 degree elbow. Can only mention things to check if air is not making the noise. With one line to pump from reservoir and one line back to reservoir set up and lever on side of reservoir full forward, oil just pumps in a circle unless something messed up in unit. Also make sure the little lock under the lever doesn't have it locked back if engine loads. Check for engine loading and pump getting hot, if so could be relief valve popping. If that seems okay pull back on lever to see if engine loads, if not the relief valve inside unit could have loose parts from a failure, bad pump or a suction line blockage. Other stuff added between pump and unit could effect answer.
