I know a guy who is pretty familiar with older ih equipment. He bought a 966 hydro he thought is kind of rare. I cant find production numbers on 966 hydro specific. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It is my understanding that IH produced the 966 and 1066 hydro in 1973 only. The next year they changed the model numbers to the 100 and ,I think, the 1026 hydro.The 544 and 656 where dropped after 1973 and the 80 series hydro replaced both of them. The 666 and then 686 were still offered with the gear drive tranny
