IH584 air filter to intake hose DONE

Well it isn't pretty but it is there. Took a foot or 3 inch rubber hose a PVC 45 degree angle pies and a piece of old PTO guard pipe I cut and welded into a 90 degree angle. Bot it is at least there so next step is to see how much the air filters will cost and then install them.

On a side note about this tractor I have been finding that is has a lot of bolts on it that are not SAE but instead are metric.

Anything associated with the engine is metric as it is a German engine. Not sure about the rest of the tractor stuff being metric.

Hi Old,in the 1970s I was selling IH tractors for the local dealer and had great sucess with them taking mostly MF tractors in part exchange. I have also worked on these machines and all the fastners on the engine and transmisson were UNC and UNF threads and I persumed thi was because IH was an American company. MJ
