I have a 1954 Farmall Super C that I use for general small work around the farm. I have been pulling a 6' wide finishing mower with it along the driveway and out front by the road. Lately it has been getting harder to start, especially when it is hot after mowing for awhile. My Chinese made starter on it quit a month ago, and I have had to crank start it or park it on a hill when I take a break. Now I have been mowing for a few hours in 85 degree heat and I stalled it in some heavy grass and can't get it started at all by cranking it. I had a similar problem a few years ago and solved that problem by putting a new coil on the ignition system. But this one is a Chinese made one. Any suggestions for checking it and if it is the coil where to get a good one?
