Farmall m drain plug

I finished filling up my transmission with 90w gear
oil and have no leaks except for the drain plug at
the back of the tractor the one at the drawbar. It
seems even though I tighten it tighter it still leaks
slowly has anyone else had this problem on their
drain plug?

Put some tephlon tape on the threads, should seal then, of course since you have it full it will be interesting to do. Get another plug the right size, put tephlon tape on it and swap them out.

Pull the fill plug and hook shop vac to it. Turn on and then pull the drain plug to teflon tape or smear on some RTV. I'd look over the area around the plug real good for a crack, do that while the plug is in. Cleaning the area around the plug with brake clean etc. would help for this.

We have gotten so we run an magnet on all plug holes, for small particles that will get in the threads . Has solved a lot of the leaking for us on plugs. Especially if we had pieces come out, when we drain oil from any location on gear boxes or rearends.

Clean the threads,as was said use Teflon or other thread sealant. If it still leadk when tight,or gets worse, carefully check the housing around the plug for cracks.
