It's the clip that helps the needle up down, how is it installed ?

One end of it is a shepherd's hook curve. The needle has a groove in the lower end that this "hook" snaps around (very loosely) the "l" shaped remaining wires hook under the tab that pushes the needle up. The whole thing is very loose when installed and just tugs the needle off the seat. Jim

I can't see it jim, do i have it hooked correctly? Every time I try to put it together the float won't move. Where do those 2 wire ends go?

That's sideways isn't it...its supposed to be positioned like a cork screw right

Your picture is correct. the two wires hanging down (when it is right side up) go under the tab on the float that pushes up the needle. If it cannot be made to fit without binding, leave it out!!! Jim
