M Farmall Oil pressure question

I purchased a M Farmall that had run into a misfortune and damaged the radiator, grille, hood, upper steering shaft, throttle, and gas tank. I was able to start it and drive in on to the trailer to bring it home but I could only run it for a very short time. Now that I have it home I took a compression check and the 4 cylinders read 103-107 dry and 105-113 wet. The tractor did startup quickly to load but didn't pay much attention to anything else at the time. Is there anything significant showning up with these numbers? I'm not sure what a fresh engine would be? Your comments would be much appreciated.

What u got in there i would guess is some flat top pistons, when there in good shape they will read about 112- 120 lbs.

FastFarmall,

Well that was fastand lived up to your handle... and from the sound of it the engine should be OK. Thats good news.

I didn't look because the radiator was empty and the priortity at the time was to get the M loaded. I messed up on the title of this topic too. I'm glad people knew what I was asking.

I checked the compression on a Super C I bought a couple of years ago. My readings were 110 to 120 dry with a cold engine. It has been running great mowing for the last couple of years.
