I decided to change the transmission oil in my SMTA. Bought three pails of 90 wt. Got home and pulled the plug and the oil was astoundingly clear and clean.
My uncle gave me this tractor in 1992 and it hasn't been changed since then, and I doubt that he had changed it since it had been sitting for 20 years in the
barn. Does 90 wt wear out or have a shelf life. Should I strain it and put it back in the tractor, or go ahead and replace it? I can use the 90 wt for one
of the other M tractors. Thanks, Ellis
