Farmall Distributor Parts

I work at a Rose Nursery and we have 8 Farmall 140's here. We currently have two down because we are unable to find any parts for the distributor, other than the points/rotor kits. We need the internal parts, like the springs and weights and so forth.

Any idea where I may be able to come across some of these parts?

Thanks,
Jason

Joe's Farmall Parts or Burgh Implements. I will post links a bit later today.

You can also search them on the internet. Both are in western Pennsylvania.

Carleton farm supply. They are a I.H dealer for some 50 years and they love the old ones.

They are in Carleton Michigan but they ship anyware.

Unless Case IH quit handling the parts not long ago, you can get the parts if you want to pay the prices.
Weight 353915r91, $53.19
spring 372785r91 42.20 Usualy get 2,or a set
but never bought that #
weight guard 352301r1 $21.50
distributor shaft and rotor 362723r91 $144.72
point cam 355724r91 $379.66.
Distributor shaft bushing 373577r91 $42.23 That bushing or # is not listed in a regular parts book. Everything except the springs are common to other IH distributors. Can buy a lot of used distributors and go through them to get usable parts for the prices on some items. Advance springs for the 140 distributor are higher than most others also.
There's a person selling new old stock distributor shafts on epay, says he has 22 degree advance and a couple other advance sizes, item # 130297333401. 362723r91 is a 22 degree shaft.
Hopefully I listed more parts than you need and you can find better prices.

There is a brand new replacement distributor just now available. It comes complete with electronic ignition, and will replace the IH distributor used on all the 4 cylinder letter series and early numbered series tractors. It is not inexpensive, but it is less costly than doing a complete rebuild on an original IH distributor. Email to [email protected]

What advance curve is built into the replacement distributor? Most IH distributors can be bolted up and used on different model tractors, but that doesn't make them right.

You are correct, but I don't know what the advance curve is.
