I took the pressure plate off and adjusted the finger so that they were out further. I then put it back together with three new 5/16 pins that hold the fingers into the adjusters. When I put the drive shaft back in I used the best and thinnest spacers that I had in between the plate and the yokes. I started it up and the clutch works as it was intended. I wish I knew what I did that was the correct fix, but it works and I am not going to jinx myself by playing with it. I changed oil tonight and maybe tomorrow I will check to see how fast the high speed is on the engine and then try to adjust the governor.
