depending on the paint type and how many coats you apply, but generally between 6 quarts and 2 gallons.
 
Just read about a guy who put 6 gallons on an F-20.Said he put 2 gallons on just the wheels alone!WOW
 
When I did ours back in 1985 it was a gallon plus a quart of IH Red then the rims with silver. A basic paint job and did not do the underside of the hood.
 

I am not a professional by any means. Won't even pretend to be, but I have found the best way to get enough paint on the rough, cast iron parts such as wheel centers, is to apply the paint with a brush, and give it many, many coats.
