International 434 ignition wiring

I picked up an oh 434 and the ignition switch does not work. I am not sure if the switch is bad but the electrical drawings show a circuit breaker wired off of the ignition switch. Can anyone tell me where the circuit breaker is located?

It has Lucas.I think I found the location but the issue was the connection on the solenoid. I also need a new generator for it. Any recommendations? There are a lot of new ones online but I do not want to buy junk.

Hi Hattrick, back in the 1960s thru 1980 we had B414D and 434D. Traded 434D for 384D. IIRC the B414 ad 434 were both positive ground systems with Lucas electrics. The 384 had a Lucas alternator and was a negative ground system. The alternator was a small unit to fit under the sheet metal. If your 434 is a Diesel, I would suspect the voltage regulator as with the Diesel the vibration and the low charging required tends to burn the contacts on the voltage regular.
You can check the generator by grounding the (F) field terminal(small wire) on the generator. Also check the grounding of the voltage regulator. If you live in USA/Canada, I would look for a replacement Delco generator and voltage regulator.

Jim,
Thanks for the info. This is a 434 and is wired positive ground. The generator I have was off the tractor and the rear housing on the generator is cracked so I will need a new one.
