International ID

Hello. I'm new to the old tractor concept. I hope someone can help me ID an old International tractor. It needs the fuel strainer/bowl assembly but I can't order the part if I can't figure out the model. The data plate under the seat area shows IH model FC. Serial number 114811. The whole model C, FC, etc thing confuses me. There seems to be exceptions to every rule and I see disagreements on this site as to which model you have. I'm not a mechanic but I play one in my back yard. (That doesn't mean I'm good at it). This tractor ran a couple of years ago. My uncle used it before he passed away so I can't get info on it. Can anyone explain how I can make a determination on this tractor without confusing me with technical terms? Thanks in advance, John

Your serial number indicates that your tractor is a 1951 Super C. To help verify this check casting codes on some of the cast items. 1954 used Z
code which makes a 1951 tractor have W codes. So a 6 6 W casting code indicates a June 6, 1951 casting date. If your tractor has curved brake
pedals it is a Super C. The C had straight brake pedals. Most likely the same parts you need were the same for the C and the Super C.
