Anyone know the different numbers for an M. The one I just pulled has what looks like 45955DC on it which seems to be a later camshaft. It was in a '41.

Go to the caseih.com site and use search for parts by model. Put in Farmall 450. Look at the engine and use those numbers. Cam lifters cam retainer, gear retainer
bolt, and driven gear. This will get you a newer cam that is the choice when replacing an M cam. Jim

Must be a later one. Never ran across a DC suffix with that number. DA and DB was used in the C-281 production engines with DB having left hand threads for the cam nut. Think one with DB was the last one listed as the replacement when IH owned the company for c-248, c-264, c-281 engines. They list another number but some camshafts actually have the number you posted on them. What number is on the cam gear?
