460 hydraulic noises

I have a 460 and as soon as I start it and drive it the hydraulics are making all kinds of winding noises anybody know what that is and how to fix it

May have valve that is not going to home and then that causes the pump to load up.

The first thing I would try is moving the fast hitch lever a pinch or two to see if it changes. Have you changed the hydraulic fluid and filter? Mine is bad to collect moisture. Just a few thoughts.

You have to play with the hyd controls and see if moving them helps or not. It could also have filter that needs cleaned or replaced. Have a friend who had one that did the same thing but he sold it before I could figure out where the problem was

If moving the fast hitch changes the sound. you have a plugged up sreen and control orifice in the safety regulator valve. It is very important to make this right as it is now going on demand and making heat and high pressure. Look at the hydraulic parts diagram caseih.com on line parts diagrams (use find parts by model) jim.

My Super M has done the same thing for several years. Hydraulics and power steering (Charlynn with a flow divider...) worked fine. But the pump made all sorts whining/growling/gurgling sounds whenever the engine ran - especially in sub-freezing temperatures.

A couple weeks ago I changed the oil in the hydraulic reservoir. The stuff that drained out was the color/texture of a coffee milkshake. But after refilling with fresh AW32 oil the pump is now nearly silent.
