Next 400 with fast hitch question...

I'm looking for input on how best to repair the Lateral Swing Assembly on my fast hitch. Lots of wear and resulting slop under there! I can see wear on the shaft and can only assume that the "Limiter" as the parts book calls the housing, is also well worn. I have not taken it off the tractor and don't intend to until I am ready to replace or repair. So, Is there a repair to existing parts? I was wondering if anyone has sleeved the shaft to take out the slop. I don't have machinist tools to build something. What are the chances of finding good used replacement parts? I have found the shaft assembly new for sale but not the housing. Also have found them both used but am leery of buying worn out stuff. Thanks in advance for your replies!!

Purchase a used assembly and if it is worn, have it built up and machined to new. The pin holse can be matched and bored to a
bigger size as well. Jim

We have used big washers to take up the slack as a temporary measure, although we never needed to go farther. I just went through finding parts for a 560 which is the same as a later 400-450 and there are
few out there, people salvaging do not want to break a hitch up. The pivot on the hitch that is a eye bolt we have welded on a bolt and drilled the hole through and put double nuts on it.It needs to have
some play when it goes up and down.As Jim mentioned, having it welded up may work but usually they break if abused in any sort of way. Manure spreader in a plowed field that is frozen usually does it. Have
had fast hitches on 230,240,460, 400,450, and multiple 560s and all of them have some ply in the side to side movement. Extra play in the diameter of the tube has little to do with the side to side play do
to the mechanics of that part moving forward and back.
