On my 1086 the fuel gauge needle was hanging to the far left so i fastened the ground and the hot wire together on the bottom tank and when I took the hot wire on the top rear tank and shorted it to ground the gauge needle went to the far right and stayed there. What do I need to do to get my gauge to work. with it hooked to the top tank sender it doesn't register. Thanks for any help. Larry
