I believe Jon is right, I just bought one a few weeks ago for my MD. Also remember to have the proper lock collars on the shaft near the steering post to eliminate fore & aft movement.

The washer that also acted as the key may not have been introduced until the 300-400 series. In my Super M parts book only a woodruff key is shown.

I noticed that as well, but the thick washer was used where the bolt goes through the joint. Bolt wont go through with a woodruff key unless you grind it down some.

(quoted from post at 20:07:13 06/28/17) Its not a key. Its a thick washer. Don't know the specs though.

My M uses a key I think, it has been a while since I was in it.

As I said above the Case IH parts should show what he needs.

On my MD the coupling bolt and the woodruff key are opposite eachother on the shaft, so there isn't any interference between them.
