New toy...IH 404 utility

Brought a '64 404 utility home yesterday. Kind of a "little brother"
to go with my 606 utility. Not the prettiest but it's one I've been
wanting and the price was right! All 4 tires were new 3yrs ago before
it was parked. Even got a NIB clutch kit, rebuild kit with bearings
and gaskets, and a couple oil filters!

I see DD on the serial number plate is a high speed 3rd gear...what's
that make 3rd MPH wise?

The middle portion of your toplink appears to be from a Case tractor. If you look on it I believe you will find a Case Eagle cast into it somewhere. That toplink would have been on the smaller case tractors (VAC, 300, 400, 430, 530 etc.).

If you decide you want a new toplink at some point you might try finding a Case guy and selling the old one to him so it doesnt go to the scrap man.
