having trouble with pto, not engaging. took pto out and found that the pilot shaft bushing completely gone. 7/16 inch diameter rod, goes into the
rear of the clutch shaft with ease. so i need a new bushing. prices range fro $4.00 to $40.00 depending upon how many i buy. where is a reasonable
place to buy one?
video on you tube says that the gap between the splines on pto and splines on clutch shaft should be about 1/8 inch or so. i have approximately 3/8
inch. is this excessive? i split the tractor and the front bearing retainer is installed properly.
there is 7-3/8 inches from rear of transmission housing to the rear of clutch shaft.
