update on the 560..

Update on the c 263... I pulled the valve cover and i do,in fact have valve seals on all valves, I went ahead and adjusted them to 0.30,but will go to 0.27 soon, i found 2 specs on valve lash, very confusing, still waiting on a book for the old girl..
Valves seemed close on most of them but a few needed brought closer..
I am getting a new exhaust and intake valve seal this weekend for the #5 hole..
Hopefully this brings the oil consumption and plug fouling under control. ..
 
The 2 sets of measurements could be for hot or cold when you set them. Thermal expansion slightly affects the clearances.
 
All C-263 IH engines are .027 valve lash, hot , cold , in between period. Thing is to do an accurate job allowing for any wear on rocker arm contact area to valve stem.
 
0.03 isnt going to effect much, I got
some wrong or misread info, regardless
the valve cover is coming off this
weekend and new valve seals are going
on #5 set, and they will be brought to
the right spec...
Valve seals are really cheap at the
local IH dealer none the less..
