Farmall 240 & 340 Widefront

I was wondering if a widefront from a Farmall 340 would be a direct fit onto a Farmall 240. From the parts book it looks like theres a beefier ball and socket behind the wishbone. Just wondering if the bolt pattern is the same. Thanks, Mark

Front bolt pattern is the same and the block is the same so a
wishbone that goes all the way back should be fine if there is holes
for them unless you are using frame rails on the 340, 240 did not
have them.

They are the same. Farmall 404 also the same.

Could a 340 transmission be swapped for a 240 transmission ? Do the differentials have the same bolt pattern ?
