1066 rebuild oil cooler

My oil cooler on my 1066 went bad and oil blowing out the radiator, they are very expensive so I was thinking about rebuilding it myself,if it is bad why not try have nothing to loose. Has anybody done this? I am not sure where to take it apart thought about cutting one end off and hopefully repairing the inside and welding it back together,I drained the block and radiator but not the oil cooler so we had a cold spell come through and I guess it busted the inside. Thanks

You should be able to find a used one in a salvage yard for about half of new or less. If you don't have a water filter this would be a good time to put one on as they might have the parts for it to

Just get on the Internet and look up or cooler for a DT 414 you'll find them they are less than 300 bucks no way I would cut one apart and try to fix it myself and just get you a new one don't screw around with an old one

I might cut it apart to see what could have happened, but there is no way I would attempt to repair one. If you do get a used one, I would flush it until you get tired of flushing and then do it a few more times.
