Putting new brakes in the 656, can't get the top two bolts to start to thread in on the right brake. Any advice? They came out ok. Thanks DTK

Do you still have the springs hooked up. They will pull the drum out of alignment. Best to pull drum completely off because dirt gets behind them when you remove the bolts.

hats the best way to pull the drum? Do you remove that peg?

I suppose when I removed the cover and pull the discs and actuator out I moved the drum and dirt got behind the drum. Looks like there is a shim behind the drum to watch out for when removing the drum.

SD Pete, Thanks for the info. I got them put backs together. I put in new discs and took out 3 shims on each side, 7 left on each side, set pedals with 3" of free travel hope that's alright. Thanks again,DTK
