Hey new to the forum. Get on here and read a lot but just now joining. Found a 5288 farm has that's pulled a spreader its hole life. Tractor was parked about 6 years ago and has never been looked at since. Guy said it ran when he parked it. I will have to see how many hrs is on it but with what being said here what do y'all think it is worth.
 
I like to look at the Tractorhouse website, which might give you some idea as to what people are asking for this particular tractor model. Most of what I have is green in color, but I do have to take a liking to the 50 series IH tractors. I have run a 5288 off and on for a number of years, and I have a friend who has a pretty nice 5488, which I have operated, too. Neither have MFWD. I like the setup of the transmission in the 50 series with no overlap in the range side of the transmission. Hours and condition are going to play a role in what the tractor is worth, and we don't have anything to really go on at this point in time until you take a look at it.
 
If you pay tractorhouse prices for ANY tractor, the one selling it should take you out to dinner afterwards, at the very least, after the screwing he just gave you.

Tractorhouse prices are HIGH, outrageously high. If there are any reasonably priced tractors on that site, they don't last long and their ads are taken down quickly.
