What is the difference between hyd pumps, gas vs diesel?

Have a Farmall 400 gas that the hyd pump is leaking oil into the crankcase. Previous owner pretended to install a new seal I see, but also used some sort of shim stock around the shaft to hold the gear on. The key way in the shaft is no good, same as with the gear. I wiggled the camshaft gear, it also moves a lot. So that needs to come apart & get replaced. I have parts tractors, but they are W400's & W450 in Diesel versions. When I look for hyd pumps, only "Gas" is listed. Thanks for any info.

Mounting bolts pattern to mount pump is different, they turn different directions and if a drive gear is on the pump shaft it is different.

Yup, biggest difference is everything turns in the opposite direction. Won't work on a gas tractor.
