H Belt pulley seal........

Found oil coming from my belt pulley seal; removed the pulley: Im hoping the shaft and seal plate will pull out with the three bolts? Someone say yes!

The shaft has bearing support from the far end that will not allow the shaft to come out unless the unit is removed from the tractor and disassembled on the bench. Get a repair manual, don't just dive into it, it has bevel gears and shimmed tooth contact, not dramatic, but not a novice experience either. Jim

You can pull the output shaft out with unit in place. Seal replacement is easy if you keep all the shims in order!

OOPS, just realized this is an H, I know this works on on an M

I just did 2 H's and one M.Just take the 3 bolts out and pull the shaft out lay it on the bench and take it apart and replace seal and put it back together the opposite of how you took it apart. easy pese The seal number is SKF 18581

Just saw this.....I was told the whole unit had to come off....so the shaft just pulls out? That sounds right...or better! Thanks!

Yes just take the bolts out and pull it out. Once you get it out it is self explanatory.
