Farmall H Battery Box...

Had to leave for the weekend.....too much rain and mosquitos on the ol farm - so got out of here for a few days. Back to my H project; this tractor had no battery box so I purchased one off this site; ready to install it. Im assuming the cables go to the "outside" of the tractor?

No, cables go toward center of tractor.

Cables to the inside. These boxes turned into a pain in the A?? over time. In a lot of cases, the boxes just got eliminated. They had a tendency to rust out, or get to where you couldn't slide them outward to remove the battery.

On my "H" I have the positive {I think} cable just reach over to the right, to the starter push-button, and the negative strap [ it is a real Case-IHC woven flat strap ] in a sort-of single-half-coil shape, reaching directly over in one half-coil to the starter mount bolt. It un-coils as I slide the battery tray out. It all works perfectly.
