got a 468 4 row front mounted cultivator for my 460 this weekend. its in nearly new condition. it only took me 40 years to get this 4 row tractor, planter, cultivator, and 3 bottom plow. Yes, this is one of item on my bucket list.

now, without an owners manual ( its on order) im trying to get mounted. I have a 268 op manual so im using it as a guide. having trouble getting the mounting plates that mount to the frame rail to align up. got 2 styles of plates. both show up in the parts diagram. right now its a lot of trial and error.

here are some photos

That's a nice looking unit. Is there something that reaches behind the front wheels or is there an attachment for the back of the tractor?

Impressive! Guess I'll need to do some research on how it works. ....Not a farmer here. My thumb isn't green [i:4266d4234f]nor[/i:4266d4234f] brown!

i've got the rear gang also, just haven't got it mounted. the inside tool bars and shanks clean out behind the front wheels.

it aint the feet, its the banging of my head on the main frame.

Here are a couple pics of one on an 806. they can be a bear to get lined up just right. on the side bracket, the longer "tail" goes to the rear, and the pins where the eye bolts pivot go toward the tractor- so the cultivator can fit flush to the outside, then the eye screws pivot all the way over to attach. i hope that makes sense. so the second pic is the bracket for the left side, and you're looking at the side away from the tractor. you will likely have to lift up on each side to get things close enough to catch, then as you tighten up the big nuts it will draw it closer into position.
kind of a bear to get hooked up, but then it's a good solid cultivator, have fun!

The guy my Dad used work for always had front mounts on his M's and MD's so when bought a 706 he also bought an 8 row front mount cultivator. it did a great job but it was a booger to turn when in transport. You really had to be on your toes when roading it and turning into gated lanes. We still had cows back then and all fields had fences and gates to get into..............Kenny
