temperature farmall c

I bought a C a couple years ago and replaced the gauges that did not work, including the temp gauge. After installing the new gauge I found it did not "read" either. Every thing was in good shape on the tractor and I don't work it very hard at all so I was not worried with an overheating situation.
I developed a small leak in the radiator late last fall so this spring I decided to get a jump on things and get it repaired before I started using it on a regular basis again. I thought it would also be a good time to get the "faulty" gauge replaced and install another new one.
After replacing the old new gauge with a newer gauge, I still am not getting any reading on the gauge. I know I have good flow to the temp probe because I lost about 2 quarts of antifreeze while changing out the fitting. The gauge just don't move off the cold spot even after it has warmed up and been in use. I'm stumped, any ideas?? Thx in advance

You wont read anything on the guage till you have a heavy load on a hot day. Do yourself a favor and take the temp in the radiator when engine is warm and quit worring about a guage.
