Adding hydraulic remote to IH 3444

Hello all,

I have an IH 3444 with a gas engine. I am interested in adding a hydraulic remote to the rear so I can operate implements such as a raise/lower cylinder on a disc.

I imagine a guy could just splice off of the main hydraulic line coming from the pump and run it to a Power Beyond spool valve that would run to the remote ports.

But is there an easier way?
There is a plug in front of the seat that the book has labeled AUX, could this be used to run to the new valve instead of splicing?
Where do I run the return line from the spool valve?

Thank you in advance.

Splicing off the main pump will not work because the tractor has an open center hydraulic system. For an open center hydraulic system to work properly, there can only be one path for the oil to flow from the pump to the reservoir. When you splice off the main pump you create two paths, and any time you close one of those off, by either actuating the add-on spool valve, or moving the hitch control, the oil just takes the other path back to the reservoir.

Unfortunately I can't tell you the right place to connect on a 3444. It might say in the 2000 loader manual. The info for a 444 should apply to your 3444 if I'm not mistaken.

Oh ok, I understand.
I'm not terribly familiar with this tractors hydraulic system so was unaware i
If it was open or closed center.

Thank you kindly for your addition though, I appreciate it.
