Plugs are black and sooty. I changed plugs and helped a little. Runs good up to a little over half throttle then starts to rev up and down, getting worse the more the throttle is opened. The carb has been cleaned twice. Once by me then the guy I had working on it cleaned it at his shop.

Time to set down and do a Major tune up . adjust the valves check the manifold for tightness and if loose then remove and clean and install new gskt.'s . Next make sure your dist. is working on the Centrifugal advance , and set the timing as this is over looked on tractors . Each time you change points the timing does not stay the same , it maybe off a degree or more . Don't know what your running for plugs but 3116 Autolites or a C 86 A/C has worked will . solid wires like said before . Now as to the carb there are allot of guys that think they know carbs but they do not . Next is to scync. your carb to the Gov. Get a I T manual for your tractor and set down and read it . since your probable not even close to me a service call is out of the question .

check for graphite wires. farmalls do better with copper plug wires. maybe a not so good, coil wire. check for good flow of gasoline to carb.
