How to set the hydraulics for remote control, 450 gas

Ok, I bought a hydraulic Bush Hog wood splitter and got it home. It has a control lever for remote control use, and I spent some time looking at the 450 manual and scratching my head. The splitter didn't come with a manual. My 450 has 3 sets of ports and 3 handles.
How do I set up the Hydra-Touch so I can use the control on the splitter?
Anything else I'm missing here ?
Thanks

Hook 2 hoses from the splitter to one set of ports on the tractor. Push or pull that lever and tie it in that position with a tarp strap or wire
or what ever.

Then you can control it with the lever on the splitter.

That is how we ran ours.

Just to confirm, that's all there is to it. Tractors from that era did not have a way to lock the lever.

Be aware that if you hook it up backwards, the log splitter valve won't work right. It will extend okay, but the handle will get jammed in the retract position, until you relieve the pressure by shutting off the tractor.

If the handle jams like that, just switch the hoses at the tractor, OR tie the control lever the other way.
