Would of a md came with a dipstick in block?

Yes all gas start diesels had dipsticks. Md-
450d, td6-td24,wd6-650d, ud6-ud24. The
engine serial number found above injection
pump directly below head gasket will tell
you if it is original engine to tractor. The
early engines will use a letter prefix the
later will have a D then engine size example
D264 for a super md, FDBKM for md.

Yes, and the way you check the oil is to remove (unscrew) the dip stick, wipe it off and reinsert, but do not screw it in. Then remove and read
the oil level. If you screw the dip stick in and then unscrew and remove to read the level, reading will not be correct.
