Having a hard time locating u-joint above gas tank; seems it is a strange setup- with a ujoint and 4-bolts holding it together. Also infront of this steering u-joint is a bracket that holds the steering shaft going forward - with a bushing in this bracket; I need the bushing or the bracket with bushing; cant find this either. Can anyone help? Thanks.
 
That early joint is obsolete. Get a newer rear steering shaft or a replacement joint that requires cutting your shaft and installing the joint with yokes. Aftermarket companies sell the replacement.
 
steering cast piece in front of the U joint had no bushing. If casting is worn to much the hole will need bored and a bushing for the 7/8 diameter shaft pressed in, or find a better cast piece. Search bronze bushings online for ID length and wall thickness wanted. f-300 and 350 tractors used a thin bushing in shaft support that would work if hole is not oversized to much. If still available it would probably cost more than a generic supplier.
