Farmall A. Won't start when engine is warmed up

Inherited my dads tractor. Love it but don't know much about it
I couldn't start the tractor when temps were 20 or lower
When I do get the tractor started it runs great. If the tractor has been running for more than 45 min and I shut it off it will not start till it completely cools down At least 1 hr
Any ideas

Does it have a magneto, as that sure sounds like a weak mag coil.

If battery ignition a coil can act up when warm, as well, or, rarely, the condenser.

I would change the ignition coil. If it has been converted to 12v make sure it has a true 12v coil or a ballast resistor to drop the volts for the coil. Jim

No it's still 6 V positive ground

Does it still crank over?, a bad connection can work when cold and not when hot, clean all your battery cable connections.

Are you using the choke correctly? I only ask because you said you were unfamiliar with the old tractor. My A will not start without using the choke on cold days, like you described.
