684 no hydraulics after fluid change

Hello, we changed the hydraulic fluid and filter in our 684 and now we have no hydraulics. Brakes still work but that's it. All the o rings are installed correctly. We even tried pressurizing the trans but no luck. We're thinking that it just has air in the system. Please help

Air is supposed to self purge by working the remote levers. Have a manual for the 84 series here and seems to me there is no bleeding process other than working controls.

Hi from the archives:

Maybe the pump has lost its prime. Under the filter, there is a pipe for the steering supply, loosen the fitting and place a
container under to catch the oil, start the engine and check for oil flow at the fitting. Stop the engine when oil flows. When the
pump is worn, it's harder to prime the system. Bernard le m?cano

Hope this helps

It will be air, there is a large steel pipe coming from the MCV/filter housing,it heads off to the rockshaft valve I think from memory, it is
the biggest pipe on the MCV anyway, near to the axle housing, crack the nut open on this pipe then start the motor, air will come out,
followed by oil, as soon as you see oil, shut off the motor and snug the connection up again. It happens about 30% of the time when you
change oil and filter. No need to undo the connection fully, just enough to let out the air. Hope this helps.
