I have in IH 435 square baller that I got about 5 years ago. I put about 2000 bale a year through it and it has never missed a tie until last year. It was working fine baling grass hay. I cut with a 14 ft and double the windrows. When I switched to straw I cleaned out the chamber blew it off with a leaf blower and greased it. The wheat was baked with a 30 ft platform. Starting on the very first bale both sides tied but the knife failed to cut on the left hand side. I tried to sharpen it with a file and ordered a new set. It stil wasn't cutting when the new set came in I put them on and it still wasn't cutting. If I cut th twins with a razor knife every time it ties the knots are perfect and both sides like ok the same. I had a helper turn the baler by hand while I watched it tie and the knife completely misses the twine. I am thinking the twine disks might be wore but before spending that kind of money I would love me any other suggestions. I was thinking of trying to brake the twine disks and file them down before replacing them. Thanks in advance for any help.
