Hi can any help me out i have a farmall m with this number fbk 276458 and then 6722dj and next to that 7-22w what is this

Well the motor was casted on July 22, 1951, and that correlates with the 276458,and u got 5,000 foot altitude pistons , and a Rockford clutch.

276458 = tractor assembled in August 1951. 6722DJ is the engine block casting number. 7-22-W = block cast on 7-22-1951. Engine serial number is stamped in block on toward the front just above the metal side cover and is probably # 264458. Suffix letters after the engine and tractor number tell how originally equipped. Common to be X1 gasoline fuel standard altitude engine on a lot of 51 models.

ID plate with rivets has the tractor serial number on it. Was also letting you know the engine also has a serial number beside the other information you posted. This is a preproduction M engine picture and a little different. But your engine serial number will be stamped in where the farmall works ID plate is in the picture.
