Super C generator color

In the process of finish painting my SC Farmall. I recall (but its been 64 years ago) the generator, the voltage regulator and the starter on the tractor being painted black. Everything else was red. Were those items black or red? Any other items not painted red color?

They were red. Electrical components that make a pass through a Delco rebuild shop usually come back with black paint. Replacement parts straight out of a Delco box were often black as well. A lot of those components were painted black just because the owner liked them that way.

The only other parts "painted" but not red were the rims.

The curved sectors the touch-control stops ride on were left bare.

Thanks for those comments. Looks like it's O. K., then because I painted everything red even tho I thought I remembered them to be black. Now all I have to figure out is the cultivator, which I remember (?) was blue except for the shovel sections and shield which were black. Comments?

I forgot about the Touch-Control sectors that CGID pointed out. They may have started out cad plated.

Cultivators may depend a bit on which model it is. Basically the front mounting frames were red, tool bars blue, many standards, clamps etc. were black. Ground tools may have been unpainted or black, shields and rotary hoes were probably blue.

Rear lift parts probably red along with ???. Tool bars blue and the rest the same as the front.
