Hope Update, March 6

Hello all! It's been while since I've posted. I went M D Anderson Cancer Center in Houston a week ago, and we got the ball rolling. I've got to go back tomorrow for a couple of days to get a biopsy on my liver. It will be several weeks before my treatment actually starts, so I just wanted to again ask for your prayers and well wishes in the meantime. I have tentatively been accepted as a candidate for immunotherapy, and that is a big thing. In the meantime, I need all the encouragement I can get, to hang in there. Thanks to all, Hugh and Kelley.

I'm glad to see you posting Hugh! You are walking a thorny road but your persistent optimism is inspiring. I'm glad to hear you are getting the treatment you need. Having a good thought for you.

Getting healthy is like pumping water with a hand pump. It takes effort and a bit of priming, but soon the water flows. Every stroke of the handle brings it nearer the surface. Peace, Jim

Am I really persistently optimistic, Dave? I'm glad to know that I come across that way! That knowledge is a real spirit-lifter! I'll keep you posted. Hugh

Hugh: You are an inspiration to all who have been diagnosed with cancer. Please know that You,your Family, and your Doctors are in my prayers.

Hey, Jim, I did want to thank you for this thoughtfull post. What you said is very true for me--I have to keep on "pumping"--and have faith that results will come! Thanks again, Hugh
