M trans seal output shaft

Does somebody have the seal part number on the trans output shaft on the standard 1944 M tractor? I think it would be a seal I could get at NAPA.

Look it up at case ih and cross the number.

Should be a number on the seal if you can clean it up and read it. That number will cross match at NAPA.

The collar may be worn enough a new seal does not fix it, make sure and look for grooves where it meets seal.

Maybe you have removed it already, but I doubt you'll get that yoke removed from that shaft without a proper puller. That means removing it from the trans and when you do that, better check the pilot bearing. And, change then lower seal while you're there.

I had no trouble at all removing that yoke on my '40 M. Just remove the bolt and it slides off.

My Super M input assembly fought every
attempt of mine to seperate it on the bench
till I bought a HF gear puller. Bought it
for the M and it has paid for itself many
times over.

Thanks for the information. checked with NAPA and it doesn't cross reference over to another seal. used the OD & ID of the seal part number provided and it falls in between what is a standard offer. I guess that is why they get $15 + for the seal. Haven't removed the coupler yet. I have pullers and tools to perform the task if it decides to be stubborn. If the bearing is worn or other issue they will be address once I get it apart.

Call Motion Industries or Kaman Bearing to get it at a realistic price. It should be a commodity item. Jim
