F 20 clutch operating shaft repair

I removed the throw out bearing yoke and the two shafts that the yoke mounts to. Both shafts have some wear. My first guess is that a person can weld them back up and then turn them to the correct size. Are there any better ways to repair them?
Thank you

That would work just fine, I have repaired those shafts with that method. Or you could just mill key slots in pieces of new shaft

Both keys are the half moon type. I could make a shaft from stock but I would need to mill in straight key ways, which probably could work just as well.
thank you

The half moon key in that part gives longer service,
a straight key would work for a retired tractor.

If you use Locktite shaft and bearing mount on the square key, and it is longer than the woodruff key, it will last. Jim

Thank you everyone. I will see what we have at work before I attempt the repair. Some times I think I should have my brother do it for me so that he will feel good about helping me out with Grandpa's tractor.
