flywheel ring gear...

Depends how bad the teeth are worn sometimes theres not realy enough left on the "good" side but usualy just a reverse works just fine
 
A new ring gear probably cost less than filling up the fuel tank on your pickup.
I always replace with new. Too much work to remove and reinstall a used one that's had 60 years of use.
 
right on, I'm probably going to replace it, but a few years ago I had to flip a ring gear over because 2 ring gears from different places would slip right on, had to use the old gear, mostly just checking just in case... thanks
 
Good day yesterday,76 deg in Iowa on Feb 22nd!!! got the old 300 split and problem found in my pressure plate, I appoligize for the bad first pic,those darn greasy fingers!!
