can you flip a ring gear over on a 300 utility, or should I just replace it?

You can. If it is worn more than 1/4 of the thickness, I would just replace it the cost of the split is the primary issue. Make a decision on the clutch and associated parts when you are in there (again the split is open) consider replacing the one way clutch in the Ta and look at the TA clutch thickness. Jim
