Boring out a 400 block

Hello everyone,
I have a block out of a farmall 400 I want to bore out to fit Chrysler 440 pistons or about 4.25 inches. Has anyone ever done this I was planning on running the piston just on the cylinder wall but am afraid that it may be too thin. Just wondering what everyone els has tried or experienced. Also was wondering on how the welded connecting rods hold up.

There are 600 cw M, SM pulling out there. The old M&w kit had 4.25 pistons and 1/2 in stroke made 326 cu. Paul Marlatt, Gary Barker, Lemmons Tractor Supply or Murphys motor service could set you up with the right package.

I once pulled the sleeves out of a 39 M,put f-30 pistons on my M rods and put it together. The pistons where to heavy, it vibrated some. BUT IT PULLED TWICE AS FAR AS A (G) JOHN DEERE IN AN ANTOUQE TRACTOR PULL. IT OUTPULED A 560 D , AND A FORD 6000.
