Case IH 3394

I was wondering if anyone was familiar with the Case IH 3394. I think it may have been made by Case before they merged with IH. Will an IH 2350 loader fit on this tractor? Also wondering how the transmissions were in these. It has a power shift. It is up for auction in our area and I thought it might be a inexpensive way to get into a 4wd . Thanks, YC

Yes, it is a Case tractor. Nothing IH about it except the paint color.

It will be cheap power because it's kind of an "orphan." My understanding is transmission parts are expensive and tough to find.

A 2350 loader is not a bolt on by any stretch. In fact it may be too narrow to fit around the hood, even if you modify the mounting brackets to make it attach to the tractor frame.

I guess when they're in good shape they're perfectly good tractors but when something goes wrong it can put you in a heap of hurt.

i was at the main farm today and measured the frame on the 1086 and the 33394 the fame is 2-3 inches wider on the 3394 and the hood is about 4-5 inches wider the 3394 has only 1/4 the holes in the frame. the muffler and radar units would have to be moved and that loader was built more for tractors without FWA the front tires would hit the loader frame and rams so i wouldnt try to use it. 3394s are kind of awkward tractors for loader work. the front wheel assist cant be disengaged. if you go to look at it check the front axle for seal leaks they were prone to that. also check for fluid and duals. see if it has had a lot of road use. if it has a lot of fluid and road use the transmission usually couldnt take the stress of not having the wheels slip.

Thanks Donald.

I know a 2350 loader is a tight fit on a 66/86 series hood. IH had to make a special model 2355 loader that was a few inches wider to fit around the 3X88/5X88 series tractor hoods. One of those might fit with the right modifications. The frame width is a total deal breaker for a 2350, for sure.
